Guardian's Redemption

Super Novel

I've been looking forward to this book since I read the stories of the Royal Four, but I have to admit that it was somewhat of a let down. It is still fast-paced and entertaining, characteristic of all of Marie Hart's stories but it seemed anti-climatic somehow. Perhaps it was because I knew that Arim was something of a bigot, but I didn't realize the extent of his prejudice. It was somewhat disappointing to see him so blinded by his own emotions that he couldn't see the truth. To be honest, I had thought better of his brain. I did enjoy seeing Arim being put in his place by Lexa and it was a joy to finally figure out what had gone on between them and to see them together again, finally. Although ... sometimes it did seem as if their confrontation was being unnecessarily drawn out for the sake of drama in the plot.

I would have liked to have had a little more description of Lexa's life after she was banished from Tanselm. Perhaps there will be more stories set on Tanselm, which will shed more light on Lexa's story. I certainly hope so, because it doesn't seem like their stories are quite done yet.

Book Blurb for Guardian's Redemption

Part of the Storm Lords Series

The final battle between Light and Dark is at hand, and only love can save them.

They call him the Guardian of Storm and Killer of Shadow, a magic user more powerful than any Tanselm has ever seen. Yet for all his power, Arim Valens has let his nemesis and ex-lover, Lexa Van Nostren, slip through his grasp time and time again. For three hundred years Arim and his sexy Dark Lord have battled each other. Only one thing could bring them together. Tanselm - a magical land filled with riches, power, and an underlying sentience overflowing with love for creatures both Light and Dark. To save Tanselm from an encroaching evil, Arim will risk it all, and if it means working closely with Lexa, so much the better.

Arim wars with his duty to the land and with his own perverse need to see to Lexa's safety, even knowing that the dangerous woman can take care of herself. Lexa won't surrender easily, no matter how much she needs him. And it will take all of his power and compassion to heal hurts both old and new, and to redeem himself in the eyes of the only woman he's ever truly loved.

This story has scenes of dominance and submission and anal play.
