Black Dragons Blood

Amanda has a high level of dragon blood (red to be exact), which makes her a highly desirable asset. Fewer children are born, and even fewer with any level of dragon blood. As it is, her father does his best to marry her to anyone he can. After going along with it two times, Amanda is determined not to go through it again. She cannot have children, so there is no point, surely? William however is the latest man that her father has engaged her to in exchange for not getting punished by the head of the Dragon Center. Amanda has her hands full trying to investigate the suicide of her first husband and dealing with William Van Horn as said horny Van Horn does his level best to convince her that he's what she needs. Can he get her with child, and if so will she accept being his? Is this serum her first husband was trying to develop the answer to their people's fertility problems?

While it's pretty steamy as erotica goes the storyline could have been better. It seemed poor Amanda spent most of her time running away and having sex; she didn't get much time to investigate in between. I would feel sorry for William if it wasn't for the fact that he acted like an over-bearing caveman throughout the story. I would have liked to have seen more time spend on the investigation part and more relationship development. Black Dragon's Blood had a great storyline.

Book Blurb for Black Dragons Blood

Amanda Spencer had spent years searching for clues to her first husband's murder. Now, she was close, too close to let a William VanHorn get in the way. He wanted to claim her as his wife, but she didn't have time to satisfy the man's needs. She wanted answers not sex.

Set on fire by Amanda, William wouldn't let the lady escape. If she wanted answers, he'd get them. As head of the Dragon Center, he had connections and nothing would stop him from capturing her heart.
