Ms. Davidson captures the reader’s attention from the first chapter and never stops until the last word in this wild tale. Screwball comedy mixed in with unexpected twists and turns made this reader unable to sleep (as did the rest of the household) as belly-laughs escaped every couple of minutes! Insanity meets the improbable all the way.
It’s moving in day; and nothing separates Shiro- Adrienne- Cadence (Cadence for short) from her lover (Patrick) and their new home___ but murder! That, and the stealth pooping dog, helps make their moving-in-day memorable. And to make matters worse, she’s lost her job (or has she?). Believe me, at this point, you’re in too deep to stop! Cadence is learning to share people (especially Patrick) and get along better than ever in this novel.
Cadence is called to a murder scene where she meets her psychopathic partner, George Pinkham, and Dr. Gallo. It seems there are murders dressing as suicides coming from Dr. Gallo’s weekly group. While Dr. Gallo cannot divulge who is in his group or why, Cadence and her partner along with a BOFFO (Bureau of False Flag Ops) specialist (Paul) go about tracking down the killer. No one is left out as a suspect, not even Dr. Gallo.
Never ending moments of insanity rule in this novel. I especially enjoyed chapters 50 and 51, but I digress. There are a lot of people at BOFFO who are unique in their own mannerisms, too many to go into at this time. Let’s just say I hope for a trilogy of some of the other characters in this series as this crew is unforgettable.
The final book in Davidson's laugh-out-loud trilogy featuring an unconventional FBI agent who finds love in the most unexpected places
Candice (and her sisters) has moved in with Patrick and everything is more than she could have ever dreamed. Except why does the dreamy Dr. Gallo keep popping up unexpectedly in her fantasies? When her pleasantly steady love life suddenly starts looking pretty darn shaky, Candice and her sisters find themselves knee-deep in a new case that brings the escaped Threefer Killers back onto the scene. The stakes are higher, the danger more real, the hijinks more hilarious, and the love and passion are more delicious in this final book of an unforgettable trilogy.
