I enjoyed reading this book the first time it came out (I still have that novel on my shelf). This reprint is just as good, even a little smoother (she admits to adding a little to the original story), than the first time around. I don't mind reprints as they can provide a new fan with the opportunity of filling in the blanks, adding to her/his collection, and help a host of people behind the scenes as well. The only problem I have with reprints is if being reprinted is not made clear on the outside cover, or easily read in the first page. This book spells out very clearly it is a reprint.
This in mind, I thoroughly enjoyed reading the book. The characters are well-developed. I enjoyed the plot and the humor comes through very nicely. So, if you want to reread this book, or (more importantly) have never had the opportunity to read this book, I urge you to check this novel out as it's still a keeper in my collection!
Are you responsible for lifting a centuries-old curse from the sexiest vampire you’ve ever seen?
Does a demon lord want to destroy you?
Have you somehow inadvertently bound several mummies to your soul?
Are you the last hope for a lost little boy?
If you’ve answered “yes” to any of the above . . . you’re in big trouble!
Those are a few of the problems facing Nell Harris, a real charmer—no, really . . . a real Charmer—once she hooks up with Adrian Tomas. A devastatingly hot Dark One who’s earned the unfortunate title “the Betrayer” for selling out his own kind to a very nasty demon, Adrian needs Nell in the worst way. Though she’d be way better off keeping her distance, Nell can’t help but find this tormented, undead Betrayer dude just a little too tempting. And this time her penchant for bad boys might cost her more than her heart . . . but her immortal soul as well!
