India Was One

I really enjoyed the story line of this book and felt invested in the characters and their lives, both in India and the United States. Since the author is writing for an audience who might not know about the food, customs, languages etc. of India, he goes into detail to explain them. I found some of those descriptions jarring at times as they interrupted the flow of the story and were not always necessary. All in all, this book was an interesting read.
