I'm not one for vampire unless it is the twilight series, but my sister got me addicted to “The Black Dagger Brotherhood” and I don't regret it. Each brother has their own story and though my sister's favorite is Xhex I slowly grew to like Rhage. J.R. Ward has a way with words that just turns your head. Rhage’s battle scenes are so well written and the sex scenes...my god, I feel like I'm in the room with Mary and Rhage.
Rhage and Mary Luce were characters that had their own pain but they worked well together. I really got a kick out of the scene with Rhage and L. W. in the kitchen. I also loved seeing old and new characters. They fit in a way that worked. They weren't just thrown in to take up space.
“The Beast” book was pretty thick. Expect that with all J.R. Wards books. Every book is well worth the read.
His name is Rhage—the deadliest fighter and most voracious lover of all the Brotherhood, whose inner beast could never be tamed. But Rhage found his eternal love in Mary Luce, a woman who once bore a life-threatening curse, while dreaming of eternity with her vampire warrior and protector.
They’ve made it to hell and back. Now their story continues in a new novel sure to draw fans back into the “frighteningly addictive” (Publishers Weekly) world of the Black Dagger Brotherhood.
