Buried in Briny Bay

A Briny Bay Mystery

Roxie Turner's hatred of Georgia Collins is legendary. The whole town knows Roxie has made a game of coming up with ways to off her nemesis, going so far as to keep a list of her favorite murder methods in her home.

So when Georgia ends up dead, Roxie is a natural suspect. Wanting to clear herself, she and her sister Trixie (I love that name) get knee deep in the murder-solving business.

When a few more dead bodies show up, each killed in a way from Georgia's list, Georgia becomes more desperate to solve the murders. She also becomes more in danger.

Can she stop the murderer before the murderer stops her?

This short novel packed in a huge story. I loved Georgia and Trixie. (Think Thelma and Louise meets Lucille and Ethyl.) Buried in Briny Bay was the perfect blend of humor and down home goodness.

The interplay between Trixie and her husband was classic. My only reserve was Georgia's creepy habit of researching and listing ways to commit murder. Still it was a fun story well worth picking up.

Book Blurb for Buried in Briny Bay

Roxie Turner finds herself up to her neck in trouble when her lifelong nemesis, Georgia Collins, is discovered buried in the town’s landfill. To make matters worse, with her characteristic Southern sass, Roxie has been saying she’d kill Georgia for more than twenty years. In fact, she listed the ways to do the woman in, constantly reminding prominent citizens of her intent. It was all a joke, or so she thought. But the joke turns on her as, suddenly, other dead bodies begin to pile up, all murdered with a technique from Roxie’s list.

Enlisting the assistance of handsome hunk, Greg Norris, Roxie’s sister, Trixie Frye, comes to her aid, bent on uncovering the killer and the truth. Can they find out both before Roxie goes to the big house?
