I was first introduced to Lexi’s book through a Susan Stoker book, and now I can’t read enough of her books. There is great humor in them and amazing, unforgettable characters. "Order of Protection" sucks you in from the beginning and doesn’t let go until the end. I didn’t want to put this book down.
Both Henry and Win are struggling with real issues in their lives. Alcoholism and anorexia. Both are devastating diseases that they battle head on. What was supposed to stay as just a little romance and not lead to anything long term and permanent, Win is forced to call on Henry’s aid to get her out of a bind. Henry may want to walk away after learning who Win really is, but his firm needs him to take the case and help her if they are going to survive. He is mean and vindictive for most of the rest of the book. More power to Win for tolerating him, but what choice does she have? Just when I thought I know who committed the crime Lexi hits you with a plot twist. Amazing from start to finish. Addicting new series.
