"Viking Warrior Rebel" is the second book in Asa Maria Bradley's Viking Warrior series. What I love most about this series is that the heroines have their own lives and they are not just arm candy for heroes on their own adventure/quest. Theses heroes and heroines always bring something to the relationship. In the beginning they bring their secret pain and obstacles to overcome. In the end they bring a great partnership to the team. In this story, Astrid and Luke have a lot of layers to unearth before they can find their happily ever.
The author demonstrates that she understands Viking lore and these elements put an extra twist on the storylines to bring something fresh to the paranormal genre. As an added bonus, the couple from the previous book, "Viking Warrior Rising", have roles to play in this novel. It really makes you feel like you're reading about a community of characters. I sincerely hope that there are intentions to publish a book 3 because I want Ulf to find his own happiness.
