This is the third and last book in Karen Kay's Lost Clan Series. This one focus's on Black Lion. He is the last hope for his people to be freed from the mystical realm of the Mist, where the God of Thunder has imprisoned them. His journey takes a very unexpected turn when fate joins him to Buffalo Bill's Wild West show and he finds himself traveling over the seas to England, where he runs literally headlong into the woman of his dreams.
Suzette Joselyn has never encountered anyone like the tall and handsome Indian Black Lion. As an opera singer her life has always been the epitome of English style and mannerism. And while she cannot deny that he is striking he also confounds all her sensibilities. Especially after their first meeting leaves her lying in the mud. She never expects to see him again, but fate has other ideas for Suzette as well, as just a few months later the world that she knows is turned upside down and she finds herself traveling to the America's in search of her Grandmother who went back with the Wild West show as a singer when they left England. Suzette expected to be the wife of a Duke and now she finds herself in the untamed Colonies a ruined woman. And when she see's Black Lion again he jokingly proposes to her but could his jest be the very thing that could save them both? Could fate have had their meeting planned all the while?
I thoroughly enjoyed this wonderful novel; it is rich with realistic and historical backdrops and characters that will delight anyone who loves the old West. Ms. Kay has a way with words and telling a story that sucked me right in and didn't let go till the last page. I highly recommend this one to anyone who like me loves a good American/Indian romance!

But once in a generation, a brave is given the opportunity to save his clan.
In 1892, that warrior is Black Lion
There was only one way for Black Lion to melt the Thunder God's anger; listen for a sacred white-man's song -- and sing it perfectly with the one who introduced him to it. He joins Buffalo Bill's Wild West Show and travels to London, where he encounters the daughter of two opera singers -- the most beautiful woman he's ever seen. However, Suzette Joselyn is already engaged to another man...
But the two are destined to meet again when Suzette shows up in America, pregnant and abandoned by her fiance. Reunited with Black Lion she finds it impossible to turn down his offer of marriage to save her child from life as a bastard. But she doesn't realize that her brave new husband is consumed with a mission that may force him to choose between his people and the woman he loves...
