Sophie Lawrance has left her past mistakes behind including her decision to choose her family over the one man who stole her heart. Now faced with a scandal that could destroy her loved ones, she turns to the only man that could help her and reclaim her heart, Cameron Daggett. Cameron has always regretted letting Sophie walk away from him and will do anything to win her love again. Together, they will fight a dangerous adversary who is set on destroying Sophie’s family and possibly Cameron’s in the process. Hopefully, with his smart wits and dangerous abilities will help set things right before putting both of their lives at stake.
This is the third novel in the “Lords of Midnight” series and I was pleasantly surprised at how much I enjoyed this tale. I loved Cameron because he was handsome, dangerous and had so many secrets as to what he had been doing since he last saw Sophie. He had never forgotten her and when the opportunity arose for him to protect her and rekindle their romance, he jumped at the chance. Even if it meant putting his life in danger trying to save her family from scandal. Sophie was a very sweet woman that had planned to become a spinster for the sake of taking care of her family so she was very noble in her duty to them. I understood that Cameron was very hard to resist especially when he considered himself a pirate because of all the illegal activities that he had been involved with in his past. Too Dangerous to Desire is a great novel that is filled with romance, mystery and lots of humor that is usually at Cameron’s expense. Looking forward to reading the rest in the series since Cameron was the last of his friends to find his true love.
