Alex MacDonald, the handsome Highland warrior, has vowed never to take a wife because he enjoys his freedom as well as being able to bed any woman that he chooses. Glynis MacNeil is done with philandering men who only see women as another conquest instead of seeing women as an equal partner in love. When the two meet, sparks fly and Alex has finally met his match. He can't believe that one woman could tame him but he only wants Glynis in his life. Then, Alex finds out that he is a father of a child that he never knew existed and is more willing to take a wife than ever before. Glynis isn't sure that she wants to be a mother to his young daughter but is willing to try to play the part because she has developed strong feelings for the handsome warrior as well. These two may just find that they are better suited for each other than they thought and Alex may finally settle down with the one woman that has finally captured his heart.
Alex is a delicious male lead that would send any woman's heart aflutter. I loved the character of Glynis because she was a beautiful Highland lass that was just strong enough to tame Alex's wandering ways. The chemistry and the fire that this couple had was explosive and just seemed to leap off the page. Margaret Mallory knows how to write a captivating love story with such rich characters that made it very difficult for this reader to put the book down until I reached the end. This book needs to be savored with a nice glass of wine and I am anxiously awaiting Duncan's story which should be coming out soon.
