Love Drunk Cowboy

Austin Lanier has mixed feelings about returning back to Terral from Tulsa, but she had promised her grandmother that she would carry out her final wishes. Austin finds herself the sole owner of a watermelon farm and plans to scatter her grandmother's ashes and then prepare the farm to be put up for sale. A week is all she is planning on staying in this small town but before she leaves, she plans to visit Granny's elderly neighbor, Rye O'Donnell, whose phone calls and kind words have helped her deal with the loss of her grandmother these last six months. Little does Austin know, that Rye isn't an elderly man with a cane but a tall sexy hot cowboy that has already fallen in love with Austin since he had first laid eyes on her.

Austin has big dreams of a big city life and a great promotion back in Tulsa, but something about the watermelon farm and the simple life in Terral seems to make her want to stay. Her family tries convincing her to return to her old life but her attraction and feelings for Rye make her yearn for something more than just a career. Rye will do everything in his power to keep Austin in Terral and hopefully, he can convince her to spend the rest of her life with him as his wife.

I love Carolyn Brown's books and I know I am in for a treat with each new title. I'm a country girl at heart and I just fell in love with this story. Rye was everything you wanted in a leading man. He is smart, sexy and rugged with a heart of gold. You were rooting for Austin by the end of the novel to stay in Terral and have the life that she always wanted with happiness and a big family. Love Drunk Cowboy is a great story and I can't wait to read what Carolyn Brown comes out with next.
