Going Down at the Dock

They say that going to the docks can be dangerous, but that doesn't stop Jasmine Kendall from following her master's wild scheme.  She has no clue if her master Darren Finnegan is really around when she starts her walk down the boardwalk.  Can she really follow through and submit to his desires and make three strangers come.

I thought the book started out really strong when Jasmine got off the phone and played in the elevator, it immediately hooked me.  I couldn't wait to see what was going to happen. After such a strong start I was slightly disappointed in the meat of the story.  It just seemed to be missing something, I guess because we barely got to know Darren.  He was always there, but we didn't actually meet him until almost the end of the book.  However, the sex scenes with the various men on the dock were very steamy.  She started off pretty mild and then she just took you on a ride, so to speak.  Each scene became more and more risqué' and the written word became pictures in my mind.  Jasmine knew what she was doing and the reader can just imagine how the men reacted when they saw the scenes unfold before their eyes.  Even the 'pirate' added a cute element to the story, because who doesn't like a good pirate?

I hope that we see more to the relationship between Jasmine and Darren.  There's a lot we don't know about the two of them and I'd love to find out more.  However, I did enjoy the character driven story and will look for more of Ms. Wood's books to see what else she has in store for her readers.
