Ms. Eloisa James has done it again. She has created a beautiful tale and tied it together in a perfect three part gift for readers and called it With This Kiss. This is the third and final chapter of this enchanting tale, and a delightful ending to a tale that, in truth, spans more than just these three books. I mean, really, what girl didn’t grow up dreaming of stories of fairy tale princesses and knights and pirates? I know I did, and these books have all that and more. The characters are as enchanting as the stories are, and in some cases, seem to take on a life of their own. I know these books will have their own special place on my own shelf for years to come, and I feel confident that other readers will feel the same.
When we last saw Lady Grace Ryburn and Lord Colin Barry, Lady Grace had bundled an injured Lord Colin into a carriage and whisked him away to her country home to “recuperate”. In the meantime, Lord Colin has since seemingly come to his senses and now seemed to believe himself dead and in the presence of an angel. Or could it perhaps be his beloved Grace? Unable to see, Colin has no idea, and must trust his instincts, until one fateful day, when the blindfold protecting his eyes comes off, and the truth is revealed, for all to see, once and for all. A special license is procured, a marriage is embraced, and dreams can come true, and it all begins with a kiss.
Lieutenant Colin Barry returns from the wars injured in body and spirit, knowing that he has no right to steal Grace from the arms of her fiancé. Yet the same warrior's spirit that won so many battles at sea is prompting him to throw propriety to the winds, imitate his pirate father, and simply take what he most desires!
