The Housewife Assassin's Killer App

The Housewife Assassin Series #8

Okay, I will be totally honest here. I’m at a loss. I don’t know how author Josie Brown manages to keep coming up with such fantastic novels about one of the most incredibly dynamic heroines I’ve read in a long time! As the 8th book in the wildly popular Housewife Assassin series, I found this novel to be just as exciting and intriguing as the first book. All of the beloved (and loathed) characters are back, doing their best (and worst) to destroy the world—and take Donna and Jack down in the process. This novel is a perfect book for anyone looking to get away—for a weekend, from the craziness of the world (or a crazy ex lover), or even just for fun.

There’s a hacker at work in the US intelligence community. No one knows who this hacker is, and of course, this hacker has been, quite happily, passing out state department secrets readily. And now, with Lee Chifray in the White House, it’s Donna to the rescue. But there’s one speedbump in the way. It’s Carl, and he’s now Lee’s right hand man as the Director of Intelligence. And Carl is not about to let Donna in easily. As Donna is setting up to infiltrate a famous high tech conglomerate to locate the hacker, Carl has plans of his own. Then there’s Jack, who’s caught in the middle of all of this madcap mayhem. Can Donna find the hacker, stop Carl, save the world, and save her family? Or will Carl finally prevail, and win Donna back for his own?

In order to flush out an internationally renowned hacker who is wreaking havoc with top secret documents inside the United States’ Intelligence Community’s secured database, housewife assassin Donna Stone infiltrates three very successful high tech corporations:

—A company providing smart phones and other wireless devices with an operating system that contains artificial intelligence designed to meet your every need—even if it kills you;

—A tech conglomerate CEO who plans to broker the country’s intelligence secrets to the highest bidder, be it a terrorist or enemy state;

—And an interactive game start-up with an avatar on the deadliest mission of all: kill Donna.

Can she save the world from terror—and at the same time protect her children from the painful knowledge of the father who deserted them?
