The Hitwoman and the 7 Cops

Confessions of a Slightly Neurotic Hitwoman

Author JB Lynn has done it again! With another fantastic installment with our favorite slightly neurotic hitwoman, Maggie, this 7th novel in the hit (no pun intended) series is a crazy roller coaster ride of zany fun. I found many of the same, much loved characters from previous books, back and more outrageous than ever. As fans of this series will know, Maggie is usually in over her head, and this novel does not change that, nor should it. I found the story to twist and turn in so many directions, and yet, I never lost the storyline even through the twists. That is a unique skill, and one that I, as a reader, value, as it holds my interest. I would recommend reading the novels in order, as that way, the entire crazy adventure is told in order. In short, I absolutely loved this novel, as I have loved the rest of the series.

Maggie Lee never wanted to be a hitwoman. But obviously, life had other plans for her. As Maggie has tried to get on with a normal life, she find out that her sister is on the run from a psycho ex-pimp, her father has run away from the Witness Protection Program- Again!-, and her aunt is in jeopardy of losing her lingerie shop to a slimy ex. And now, she has a federal marshal and a detective sitting in her living room, probing her about her father’s whereabouts! What’s a slightly neurotic hitwoman to do? Turn to her friends, use her unique talents, and rescue her loved ones, no matter what has to be done. With the help of a ditzy dog, a lizard with a god complex, and assorted other friends, Maggie will pull out all the stops to help. But who will help save Maggie from herself?

Book Blurb for The Hitwoman and the 7 Cops

All reluctant hitwoman Maggie Lee really wants is to have a calm, normal life.

She doesn’t want to go around killing people for money.

She doesn’t want her sister to be terrified of her ex-pimp.

She doesn’t want her Dad to disappear from the Witness Protection program.

But Maggie rarely gets what she wants.

Instead, she finds herself trying to keep everyone out of trouble.

With the help of her ragtag team of supporters: her semi-psychic friend, a handsome, charming con man, her almost-lover cop/hitman mentor, her curious Southern Belle cat, her haughty lizard, and her sweet, but dumb Doberman, Maggie does her best to stay a step ahead of Law Enforcement, while helping those she loves.

?But will Maggie end up being the one who needs to be saved?
