It’s not often one finds a vampire novel with as much heart and humor as this book has. I absolutely loved it. From the first page on, it takes off and never slows down. It is full of so many twists and turns, it is a full on roller coaster ride of hilarity and love. The characters are so delightfully entertaining and the escapades so utterly insane that I found myself laughing out loud numerous times in amazement. I’m very eagerly looking forward to the rest of the Eva Prim novels, because as they say, she’s a friend for eternity. If this novel is any indication, she certainly lives up to that claim.
Chryssie Papadopoulos has it all. Married to the Master of the New England territory, and able to have anything she wants, you’d think she has it all. Except a real friend. Or anything to do during the day. In an effort to allow Chryssie to branch out and meet new people, Stefan, her adoring husband, had given her a laptop. Little does he know the kind of trouble she will unleash with this innocent gift. With the creation of one little blog, Eva Prim is born, and all kinds of trouble is unleashed. A previous escapade of Chryssie’s unleashed a boatload of demons on the world, and now this one innocently reveals the existence of vampires to the world! Heads will roll for this one. And what’s this about Stefan having a huge secret? Eva will need all of her wits to survive the mess of vampires, werewolves, demons, and humans out to trip her up. Oh, and to trip Stefan into telling her the truth about himself, too….
What’s a girl to do when she discovers her husband, who happens to be the Master Vampire for the New England Region, has been lying to her for, oh, say a hundred and eighty years?
Well, it all depends. If she’s accidentally released forty demons from some creepy old book, unintentionally announced the existence of vampires on The Internet, kidnapped a werewolf, enraged a lovesick vampire by stealing his approved mate, and attracted the attention of The High Commander for The Vampire Federation, not to mention gotten stoned and mastered the forbidden art of demon calling, she might be willing to call it even.
Or, she might plead her case at an Inquisition and hope like all hell, she isn’t staked before sunrise. Eh, a slightly busier night than usual, but nothing Eva Prim can’t handle.
