The Chocolate Kiss

Amour Et Chocolat

I must admit, this is not normally the type of book I would desire to read. However, once I dove into the magical world contained within the book, I, too, was swept away into the mystical, magical, fantastical world of La Maison des Sorcieres. The story is a fluffy, charming chick-lit book, full of whimsy and delight. The characters are as entrancing as the setting is, and when put together, it will draw readers into a world of charm and enchantment, magic and mystery. It is a book I was delighted to find, and even more delighted to discover it was the second in a series. It is a novel that can easily stand on its own mystical merits, and will enchant readers of all ages, just as it did me.

Young Magalie Chaudron and her quirky aunts believe their world is, in a word, perfect. The most adorable little chocolate shop in their little world in Paris, all seems perfect and serene, that is, until world renowned pastry master Philippe Lyonnais announces his intention to introduce his own shop into their rather perfect world. As Magalie and Philippe’s worlds collide in a spectacular jumble of chocolate and magic, a sweet and delectable romance will develop among the magic and delights to be discovered in each location. Dare to enter La Maison des Sorcieres, and wait. Magic and mystery will befall you, and perhaps, a mysterious pastry master will make his presence known as well.

Book Blurb for The Chocolate Kiss

At La Maison des Sorcieres, the window display is an enchanted forest of sweets, a collection of conical hats delights the eye and the habitues nibble chocolate witches from fanciful mismatched china. While in their tiny blue kitchen, Magalie Chaudron and her two aunts stir wishes into bubbling pots of heavenly chocolat chaud. But no amount of wishing will rid them of interloper Philippe Lyonais, who has the gall to open one of his world famous pastry shops right down the street. Philippe's creations seem to hold a magic of their own, drawing crowds of beautiful women to their little isle amidst the Seine, and tempting even Magalie to venture out of her ivory tower and take a chance, a taste...a kiss.
