Elemental Assassin, #16

WOW. Snared is the explosive 16th book in author Jennifer Estep’s incredible Elemental Assassin series, and it starts with a bang. The novel is a non-stop race against time to save an innocent girl from a horrific fate. I loved learning more about The Spider and her allies, as each book delves deeper into her and her relationships. It picks up right where book 15 left off, leading the reader further and further into the Ashland underworld. I am very eagerly anticipating the next book in this revolutionary series. I would highly suggest reading in order. This is a fantastic story that refuses to be put down!

Gin Blanco, otherwise known as The Spider, will do anything to help her friends. When a local underworld boss, Jade, comes into The Pork Pit, Gin knows something is up. Jade is a long time ally of Gin and The Spider, so when Jade announces that her younger sister is missing, Gin knows she has to do something to help her. The deeper she digs into the missing girl’s whereabouts, the more she begins to realize that there’s much more to this case than meets the eye. A serial killer is loose in Ashland, and Gin knows that time is running out. Can Gin save the missing girl before she becomes the next victim?

Book Blurb for Snared

The sixteenth book in the New York Times bestselling Elemental Assassin urban fantasy series that RT Book Reviews calls, “An extraordinary series…[containing] one of the most intriguing heroines in the genre.”

If you don’t know Gin “the Spider” Blanco, you don’t know dangerous female heroines.

Irony 101—The Spider herself snared in someone else’s web…

Another week, another few clues trickling in about the Circle, the mysterious group that supposedly runs the city’s underworld. Gathering intel on my hidden enemies is a painstaking process, but a more immediate mystery has popped up on my radar: a missing girl.

My search for the girl begins on the mean streets of Ashland, but with all the killers and crooks in this city, I’m not holding out much hope that she’s still alive.

A series of clues leads me down an increasingly dark, dangerous path, and I realize that the missing girl is really just the first thread in this web of evil. As an assassin, I’m used to facing down the worst of the worst, but nothing prepares me for this new, terrifying enemy—one who strikes from the shadows and is determined to make me the next victim.
