Sinful Scottish Laird

The Highland Grooms, #2

I have adored author Julia London’s novels for years. With "Sinful Scottish Laird", I fell even more in love with her novels. I was hooked from the very first page, and rarely put it down. There’s plenty of heat, as well as more than enough heartache to make this a fantastic book. Daisy, the heroine of this tale, is a charming lady, albeit sometimes a bit naïve. Cailean is the hero of this story, and he’s a force to be reckoned with. The pair get into some potential trouble, but it’s a rollicking good read with two of the most enchanting characters I’ve had the pleasure to meet.

Daisy Bristol, Lady Chatwick, knows a bit about herself. She’s been widowed with a son, a cousin, and other family to care for, and a stipulation in her deceased husband’s will that has put a major hitch in her plans. Within 3 years, she is required to marry again, or risk losing the fortune left for her son, Ellis. With time ticking down, Daisy and her household flee London to summer in the Highlands of Scotland. She expected a quiet summer, peaceful, and very removed from the rigors of society. What she didn’t expect was the dashing Highlander claiming to be her neighbor. Cailean is nowhere near prepared when the charming Englishwoman arrives to establish a household next to his. A confirmed bachelor, Daisy and her crew take him by surprise, to say the least. As time ticks away, Daisy thinks she can find happiness and peace in the Highlands. Yet her dreams are dashed when a ghost from her past arises again. Cailean knows who he wants; Daisy knows who she wants. Or does she? Can she reconcile her heart before time runs out?

Book Blurb for Sinful Scottish Laird

A young widow puts her sexy suitors to the test in New York Times bestselling author Julia London's scintillating return to the idyllic Scottish Highlands.

Widowed and forced to remarry in three years' time or forfeit her son's inheritance, Daisy Bristol, Lady Chatwick, has plenty of suitors vying for her hand…and her fortune. But a letter from a long-lost love sends Daisy and her young son to her Scottish Highland estate to buy time for his return. Along the way she encounters the powerful Cailean Mackenzie, laird of Arrandale and a notorious smuggler, and she is utterly—though unwillingly—bewitched.

Cailean has no use for any Sassenach in his glen. But Daisy's brazen, flirtatious nature and alluring beauty intrigue him. When her first love appears unexpectedly at her estate, Cailean knows that a passionate woman like Daisy cannot marry this man. And to prevent the union, Cailean must put his own life at risk to win her heart.
