Silent Doll

Cassandra Farbanks Series #5

Having not read any books in the Cassandra Farbanks series, I was a little behind when I began this novel. However, that did not stop me, and the novel explains all a reader needs to know without reading the other novels. The story moves very, very quickly, and the characters are sassy, quirky, and all too easy to fall in love with. I very much enjoyed reading this novel, and definitely will be seeking out the others in this series. The author is very talented, in that the characters literally jump off the page. This novel is a delightful book, with more than enough twists and turns to keep it always interesting and entertaining.

Cassandra Farbanks is a paranormal investigator. Anything abnormal is normal to her, so when a living doll named Trinket appears and asks her for help, Cassandra is surprised but not shocked. Grudgingly, she agrees to help Trinket, and in the mean time is called in to help on a police investigation. Beautiful young women are appearing dead, with their hearts missing. As the investigation into both issues progress, Cassandra realizes that there is much more to both cases than meets the eye. Toss in an over amorous werewolf and vampire, as well as a witch with serious attitude problems, and you have a fantastically fun read guaranteed to thrill readers.
