I am a huge fan of historical romances, and this novel most assuredly did not disappoint. I fell absolutely in love with this story. The characters were entirely enchanting and engaging, and the story was so totally delightful, I honestly found myself cheering out loud for the hero of the story multiple times. I’m very eagerly awaiting the next book in the Renegade Royals series. I can quite honestly say, without a shadow of a doubt that this book, along with its predecessor, Lost in a Royal Kiss will captivate readers as much as they did me. To put it bluntly, I loved this book.
Lady Vivien Shaw has a big problem. She’s been kidnapped, and has no idea where she is or who has taken her. When a dashing stranger comes to her rescue, she’s reluctant to trust him, but knows that it’s in her best interest to do so, seeing as he saved her before. So Vivien puts her trust in Aden St. George to save her from the unknown. But what she doesn’t know is what can hurt her the most. Aden St. George is a man of mystery. As a spy for the crown, Aden has seen and done things no man should ever have to do. When he’s handed the case of Vivien Shaw, he knows it’s like nothing he’s handled before. Aden knows he will need to embrace his own shadowed past in order to save Vivien from her tormented future, and to stop a madman from escaping England with Vivien in tow, Aden must pull out all the stops and risk it all, including his own heart. Can he save her? Will she let him?
In this witty, sensual new series, Vanessa Kelly introduces the Renegade Royals, illegitimate sons of the Royal Princes who are finding their rightful places in society. . .
Accomplished spy Aden St. George prefers to stay away from the frivolous ton, especially after the way his mother was used by the Prince Regent. But his latest mission compels him to guard unconventional, vibrant Lady Vivien Shaw. Rescuing her from kidnappers was easy. Resisting her beauty is not. Duty demands he keep an eye on her--and naturally, his lips soon follow. For someone who views entanglements as a weakness, this is pure, delicious folly. . .
Though grateful for Aden's help, Vivien has secrets she must keep hidden. Yet with her abductors still at large, she needs Aden's protection almost as much as she craves his touch. . .
