Can I just say that I love The Sons of Sanctuary series more and more with each book? Nomad is the third book in this riveting series by author Victoria Danann, and wow! It’s incredible! As previously mentioned, The Sons of Sanctuary is a motorcycle club out of Austin, Texas, and they are, while still somewhat ornery, a very upstanding bunch. I absolutely fell for Cannon Johns, the hero of this tale. He’s such a strong character, and still highly vulnerable and fragile. Bud is also very delicate, but still fierce and fearless as the heroine. The story starts on a very low note, but rapidly speeds up, never once slowing down. I would highly recommend reading these books in order, as the full scope of the tale is revealed that way. I loved this book, and am eagerly anticipating the rest of the series!
Cannon Johns is a man on a mission. With no home, no family, and nothing left to call his own, he’s convinced he’s at his end. A late-night stop at a motel to get out of a massive downpour has his considering his life, and everything he’s done, and not done. That is, until he sees two big eyes behind a Mountain Dew machine. Enter Bud, a young girl who is on the run, with little to her name. As Cann and Bud get to know each other, Cann finds out that she’s almost 18 and pregnant. He discovers why she’s running, and figures it’s his mission in life to help her. So off they go, in a whirlwind adventure that takes them across the border and throws both of them into situations beyond their imagining. Can he save her and the baby? And can she ultimately save Cann from himself?
A rainy night, a seedy motel. Two lonely people out of options. He had a date with the Reaper. Then he met her.
