London's Last True Scoundrel

Historical romance books are my bread and butter, and this book was a true delight to read. Not having read the first book (or books) in the Ministry of Marriage series, I found this book could easily stand on its own, and yet I imagine could also blend quite well with its previous counterparts. Filled to the brim with sweet and sassy romance and cheeky, smart characters, the story will sweep readers away on a grand romantic adventure guaranteed to warm the sheets and the heart. I found this book a delight to read, and I know readers will love it as much as I did.

Lady Hilary DeVere is desperate to avoid going back to her family after her dismissal from her academy, and is determined to find herself a respectable husband during a Season in London. The straitlaced miss hardly expects to take London by storm, and merely wants to waltz quietly in, and quietly out, with a new husband in tow. What she wants and what she gets are two very different things. Lord Jonathon Westruther, Earl of Davenport, is in town, and he is determined to uphold his image as the most reckless rogue London has ever seen. Yet when he meets the Lady Hilary, as quiet and proper as she is, he can’t quite get her out of his head. So the two unlikely allies strike a bargain. And when his past comes back to threaten them both, Jonathon must risk it all in order to save Hilary. And in the process, two unlikely allies just might lose the one thing they value the most…their hearts….
