As a huge fan of author Maya Rodale, I was really looking forward to this novel. I was not disappointed. In the 3rd installment in her delightful Keeping Up with The Cavendishes series, we meet the brilliant and enigmatic Lady Claire Cavendish. Lady Claire is certainly not what a well-heeled British lady should be, and never once does she let us forget it. We also meet the mysterious Lord Fox. I adore both of these characters for their wit and personalities. The story itself flows very quickly, and I had great difficulty even putting it down to eat! This is a tale not for the young, but definitely for the young at heart.
After travelling all the way from America, Lady Claire Cavendish is in search of a Duke. But not just any Duke will do. The gentleman she is looking for is a well-known mathematician. What she gets is Lord Fox, a man known for his fists and his women. But a stupid bet lands Fox right in the path of Miss Cavendish. As he pursues her, she pursues her mysterious Duke. Two strong wills meet two strong heads, and the game is on. But when a ghost from the past comes back to threaten the happiness Lord Fox thinks he’s found, he knows that he has to keep his brilliant lady at all costs. Will they stay together?
In the third installment of Maya Rodale’s captivating, witty series, a marquess finds his fair lady—but must figure out how to keep her
Claire Cavendish is in search of a duke, but not for the usual reasons. The man she seeks is a mathematician; the man she unwittingly finds is Lord Fox: dynamic, athletic, and as bored by the equations Claire adores as she is by the social whirl upon which he thrives. As attractive as Fox is, he’s of no use to Claire . . . or is he?
PLUS HIS BRAWN . . .
Fox’s male pride has been bruised ever since his fiancée jilted him. One way to recover: win a bet that he can transform Lady Claire, Society’s roughest diamond, into its most prized jewel. But Claire has other ideas—shockingly steamy ones . . .
EQUALS A STUDY IN SEDUCTION . . .
By Claire’s calculations, Fox is the perfect man to satisfy her sensual curiosity. In Fox’s estimation, Claire is the perfect woman to prove his mastery of the ton. But the one thing neither of them counted on is love . . .
