Journey Man

The Order of the Black Swan, #9

Wow! Author Victoria Danann has done it again! With book 9 in her illustrious Order of the Black Swan series, Journey Man has taken the entire saga in a new direction. This novel reunites two of the most beloved characters, Sir Glendennon Catch, and Miss Elora Rose Storm, or Rosie to her friends. A bunch of other much loved characters are back too, and further developing their own tales. But back to Sir Catch and Rosie. These two are some of my favorite characters. Each is incredibly strong, both in integrity and in attitude. The story picks up after that of Carnal, another fantastic novel. It takes myriad twists and turns, and never once slows down. I would suggest reading the novels in order. This is a delightful story that will captivate readers of all ages.

It's been five years. Five years since Rosie left, and five years that Sir Glendennon Catch has been a floater knight, floating from group to group all over the world. Now she’s back, and Glen must deal with the fallout. Glen, in his infinite wisdom, has decided that, to avoid falling for Rosie again, he will do everything possible to drive her away. Rosie has other ideas. In the meantime, a valued member of the Black Swan family has gone missing. In an effort to find him, Sovereign Rev informs Glen that he will be tracking him, with the one person he never wanted to work with again. Rosie. Or did he? As they chase around the world after him, can Glen overcome the hardness that seeped into his heart and learn to love again? Will Rosie realize the errors of her past, and find a way to work with Glen? Or is it all for naught, leaving them both bereft and alone?

Book Blurb for Journey Man

For five years, Glendennon Catch had knocked around the globe as a floater, filling in wherever a team of vampire hunters was down a member. He’d buried six good knights and watched the life take its toll on countless others. He’d drunk his share of whiskey and bedded so many women he would hate to hear the count, but he’d never gotten over his first love. And, if he had a chance for a do-over, he wasn’t sure he wouldn’t have chosen Rosie Storm over The Order.

Elora Rose Storm had spent five years nursing a heavy heart, while on a cross-dimensional mission to make the world a better place, especially wherever she found human/animal hybrids being mistreated. She’d seen horrors, righted wrongs where she could, and matured into a powerful witch/demon with altruistic leanings.

After all that time, unbeknownst to each other, both were headed home. To Jefferson Unit.
