Hotelles is the first novel in a new erotic romance series by French author Emma Mars. When I first began reading it, I found it to be very alluring, as well as beautiful and intensely romantic. The romance did not dwindle throughout the novel, however, the suspense and mystery increased exponentially throughout the book. All of these factors combined to provide an excellent novel that became intensely appealing to me. I found the characters very well written and relatable, which helped to give them a more human appeal. I will add that this novel is not for younger readers, as the heat level tends to lean towards sizzling. All in all, this novel is one that I would definitely recommend for those long, steamy summer days, and some sizzling summer nights.
Young Annabelle, or Elle to her friends, has her future set. As a successful escort in Paris, she has met and agreed to marry the unbelievably wealthy and amazingly handsome David Barlet, a well-known media mogul. Elle has made the decision to take on one more client before her wedding. When mysterious messages and gifts begin arriving instructing Elle to go to the Hotel des Charmes and visit specific rooms, Elle is enchanted. She knows the Hotel is designed to replicate the rooms of some of France’s most famous historical seductresses. Elle follows the mysterious instructions, and when she is greeted by a mysterious and seductive stranger, Elle is surprised to find that her deepest desires are awakened in ways she never imagined were possible. When Elle finds out who the stranger is, she is beyond surprised, and begins to question what her heart really desires.
Paris, a hotel room, the middle of the afternoon . . .
So begins the story of Annabelle, a young escort in Paris who has accepted her final proposition before marrying the powerful and generous man of her dreams, media mogul David Barlet. But the mysterious handwritten notes she has been receiving—notes that detail personal fantasies no one could possibly know—don't prepare her for the fact that her new client is her fiancé's brother, Louie. Through visits to the Hotel des Charmes, where each chamber is dedicated to one of French history's great seductresses, Louie awakens Annabelle's body and her psyche, delivering her to heights of ecstasy and fits of passion. He pushes her beyond her limitations to tap into her deep seductive power—and she discovers that true freedom comes only when you fully surrender to desire.
Funny, sensual, candid, and revealing, Hotelles is a titillating novel of mysteries and surprises by a radiant new voice.
