Wow. Have I mentioned before that I adore Eve Langlais “Welcome to Hell” series? This enchanting novel is book 4 in the series, and tells the story of a rather rambunctious hellcat named Felipe and a wayward half mermaid half unknown girl named Jenny. I absolutely fell in love with Felipe. He’s a hellcat with a heart of gold, much to Lucifer’s enjoyment. The storyline moved very quickly, and kept me totally engaged the entire time I was reading. As I already mentioned, I loved Felipe, and Jenny, well, I’ve never read a more unique or more interesting character that I can recall. This tale is a very worthy addition to the Welcome to Hell series, and paves the way quite nicely for at least one or two more books (which I truly hope to be forthcoming!). I believe that this novel will leave readers laughing and as much in love with the tale of Felipe and Jenny as I was.
Felipe is a tomcat. Yes, he’s a hellcat, but he’s got a reputation to uphold. There is no settling down for him. At least that’s what he’s always sworn. But now Lucifer has a job for this footloose and fancy free feline. Felipe needs to go fetch a certain female. Felipe has no problem with this. Until he finds out where this elusive female is residing. She’s on Siren Isle, and in all truth, men have very little chance of escaping that island in freedom. But Felipe is up to the task. Until he meets Jenny. Once he meets her, all bets are off. Felipe’s mission is to bring her to Lucifer for a job as a minion. But her stunning looks draw him in another way. He’s falling in love. But someone else wants Jenny for another purpose. Can Felipe save Jenny and get her to Lucifer? Or will all be lost, and war be brought to the nine rings?
Bad kitty. Hot kitty. Hell’s Kitty is on a mission for the devil, but he’s never too busy for seduction. Okay, so Felipe ate a few of the Styx sea creatures. In his defense, they were awfully tasty. Depleting the monster reservoir didn’t mean Lucifer had to go all Lord of Hell on him and order him to go on a stupid mission. And to Siren Isle of all places! Everyone knows males should stay far, far away from that dangerous place. The only stroke of luck is the woman he’s after isn’t a siren. Nor is she quite a mermaid. As a matter of fact, Jenny isn’t like anyone he’s ever met—so, of course, this curious cat wants her.
Except he’s not the only one.
Not long after his arrival, he runs into problems, which he’s only too happy to solve in a permanent and violent fashion. Getting Jenny off the island and back to Hell’s inner circle is proving more troublesome than expected, though. Who knew a simple retrieval mission would signal the start of a dangerous—yet exhilarating—adventure, and despite his tomcat ways, this purring feline can’t help but fall in love.
