All I can say at this point is WOW. At this point we’ve been with Legacy and her friends through the usual high school trials and tribulations, as well as her highly unusual ascending to a goddess problems. Over the last several books, we’ve seen Legacy grow and mature in some very fabulous ways, and become a wonderfully beautiful character. The storyline has grown and developed into a gorgeous landscape that takes readers on a fantastical voyage through Greek mythology interlaced with a typical high school backdrop. To be totally honest, I adore this series, and am eagerly anticipating each book as it comes out. I am confident that other readers love the books as much as I do.
Adin is gone. Legacy is rapidly approaching her ascension and trying to cope with her emotions and life, and she has no idea how to handle all of the things being thrown in her direction. She’s relying on River and Calli, and with the help of her friends, she’s coping, but it’s tenuous at best. But she’s surviving. When River suddenly turns on her and Calli, it appears that Medusa is winning and turning him against them. But looks are often deceiving. And when matters spin wildly out of control, putting all of them in jeopardy, can Legacy pull herself together long enough to save them all? And what about the cryptic messages her mother has been sending? Is Adin really gone? Or is there much more to this tale than meets the eye?
The consequences of her actions are too much. Legacy was warned what would happen, but she thought she could outsmart it. She was wrong. How can she pick up the pieces of her life when all she now has is a void existence? The life she wanted...gone. Her heart has been ripped out, leaving her soul bared. The prophecy she's been battling from the beginning has finally come true. And everything hurts. She never dreamed facing her legacy would be this devastating.
Legacy has known all along that everything happens for a reason. She's been told that from practically everybody. She must find the strength to reach the stage of acceptance and move on with her life. Gods, why did things have to be this way?
But learning to accept the truth might be easier than she thinks. Her life has been filled with warnings, and one of those is that not everything is as it seems. Maybe there's a reason that warning had come from Adin...
