I have always been a fan of the boy meets girl fairy tale, running away to live in a castle. happily ever after. I can honestly say, this first book in this enchanting series, fits that storyline to a T. It is, however, not without a few detours to the tale. I adore the character of Emmaline, Emma to her friends, our heroine in this tale. She's a bit jaded, but still sensitive and down to earth. And Peter! What a dashing character he is! I have absolutely fallen for this series! The story is full of plenty of romance, and not a little sizzle, as well as a bit of turmoil. I will say that this series is most definitely meant to be read in order. What a treat!
Do you believe in happy ever after? Destined soul mates? Past lives coming back to haunt the living? Well, this is everything that Emma does not believe in, despite her ability to see people's past lives. In doing so, she is blindsided when her grandfather incidentally sets her up to meet Peter Hoogstratten, a dear friend of his. Emma is just as enchanted with Peter as he is with her. The only problem is that Peter is a Prince of Belgium, while Emma is nothing but an out of work celebrity publicist. As they get to know each other, soon Emma realizes that there's much more to their history than meets the eye. And after a shocking trip to Belgium, Peter's world is turned upside down. Plus there's the added complication of his intended Romanian fiance, whom Peter has never met. Can Emma and Peter work out their differences and find a way to be together? What's beckoning from the past to be discovered? And can they get their happily ever after, or be forever separated?
