The Scandal in Kissing an Heir

At the Kingsborough Ball, #2

Both the Lady and the rogue in this story are fun adventurous people. Even though they had great chemistry and sexual tension, I think I enjoyed their conversations and playfulness the most. The relationship is based on trust and genuine caring where both characters are willing to make changes in order to try to make each other’s lives happier and richer and they work together through struggles and strife to overcome everything life throws their way. The antagonist is truly vile and so is her family. Rebecca and Daniel are one of those underdog couples that deserve happiness after they boldly face their foes as a strong, loving couple. These characters are very well written and pull the reader in to the story.

Lord Daniel Neville is in need of a wife. His uncle, who is tired of his gaming, has cut him off until he settles down and starts a family. Lady Rebecca has been a prisoner to her aunt and uncle for years and is being sold off to the highest bidder. Unfortunately, the top bidder is horrible and lecherous old man. Needing to take her life into her own hands, Rebecca sneaks into a ball hoping to find her own husband. When Daniel spies the lovely lady and strikes up an entertaining conversation with her, he knows that she is the one for him. They hit it off splendidly but can Daniel convince her to take a chance on him? And if she does, can they have a chance at happiness when everyone is so against their union?
