In this epic conclusion to the The Magister Trilogy, all of the characters come together for the final battle. Each character not only moved toward a common goal but they each also had a personal battle within themselves that they had to conquer as well. Many long-time enemies had to put their differences aside and stand next to each other united for the sake of humanity. The plot was rich with detail and moved quickly. The world felt real and the characters had depth. The magic and struggles were vivid and seemed to come to life with each turn of the page. This was a wonderful series that delved into the battle between good and evil. I found it to be an incredible Epic Fantasy story.
The young peasant woman Kamala has proven strong and determined enough to claim the most powerful Magister sorcery for herself-but now the Magisters hunt her for killing one of their own. Her only hope of survival lies in the northern Protectorates, where spells are warped by a curse called the Wrath that even the Magisters fear. Originally intended to protect the lands of men from creatures known only as souleaters, the Wrath appears to be weakening-and the threat of this ancient enemy is once more falling across the land.
