This book is the second book in the series but does well as a standalone book. I haven't read the first book but after reading this one I plan to find the first book and I will be reading the third book when it comes out.
The plot is fast paced and leaves the reader guessing. I love the witty dialogue between the main characters and the ending was pleasing. The writing flowed and Ms. McKee's attention to historical accuracy was superb.
I can't wait to read about the bookish and proper third sister in the next installment.
