No Place Like Home is a charming Christmas read that will capture the heart of Romance readers everywhere!
When I first selected this novel for review I did so with two purposes in mind. The first was the fact that not only was this book centered around the holiday of Christmas, but that the short stories allowed the season of Winter to take the center stage. I've always found something magical and romantic about the season. My final reason was that three authors that I enjoy reading their works were featured.
Linda Lael Miller, Kat Martin and Lara Florand all wrote their own holiday tales along with author Mary Carter who I hadn't had the pleasure of meeting before in a novel, until now. All authors did an amazing job at capturing the heart of the holiday, but it was Laura Florand's, A Rose in Winter, that I enjoyed the most!
I have reviewed Florand's novels in the passed and she never disappoints! Adding the landscape of Paris into her story made for a perfect, romantic read! I especially fell for Raoul Rosier, the hero of the story and rooted for Allegra Caldron, the heroine to accept Raoul for what he is, a man that is in need of being saved. Thankfully, my patience paid off.
Each of the other authors Miller, Martin and Carter told amazing stories in their on unique ways. I've always enjoyed novels where authors join together and create a warm, inviting tale. This book allowed for each author to tell their own sections of the holiday season, of romance and happily-ever-endings.
