“Love your life, it’s the only one you have.”
“Miracle on 5th Avenue” is the last book of a trilogy centered around three close friends who move to New York and open their own business. All the books in the series have been cute and fun, but Eva's story, set during the holiday season, has turned out to be my favorite of the three.
Eva has been hired by a former client to decorate her grandson’s apartment for the holidays while he is in Vermont. The grandson in question just happens to be Lucas Blade, an author of super popular thriller/horror novels. However, when Eva arrives at what should have been an empty apartment, she discovers Lucas Blade is still in residence, hoping for alone time in order to work on his book. Desperately hoping to bully Eva into leaving, he pulls out every trick in the book, but the blizzard of the century is brewing and it looks like Eva will get to fulfill her obligations to his grandmother after all.
Cooped up together, the sunny, bubbly, optimistic Eva and the dark, brooding, and cynical Lucas, make a toxic combination. But with a healthy dose of holiday cheer, the two opposites discover they attract… and then some!!
This charming and sweet love story is the perfect choice for your holiday reading!
This story is a nice blend of saucy romance, flirty and clever banter, humor, and of course a few heartwarming moments to put the star on the tree.
I loved having a difficult author as a main character and seeing love, the magic of the holiday season, along with friends and family, help his Grinch-like heart grow three full sizes for Eva. She deserves all the happily ever after endings Lucas can dream up for her.
I really, really enjoyed this story which brought out all the tender holiday ‘feels’ and put a big ‘Ho, Ho, Ho’ smile on my face.
