Mike is not ready to enter the twentieth century so when the department decides to computerize everyone he is none too happy. That is until he meets Carl. The young man gives him a welcome surprise. Mike sees the man underneath all the flash. The attraction between the two is instant but will Mike and Carl get to explore it or will they lose the chance?
I enjoyed this story. Mike is a strong Dom waiting for the right sub to come along and by the looks of things Carl may just be it. Carl is a good man who is willing to try new things. The two make a great couple. I loved watching Mike and Carl explore the connection that they have. Mike is ready to show Carl a new way of life, while Carl is more than ready to learn. The trust that begins to turn into love between the two is evident in all that they do. The author does a great job of bringing Carl and Mike to life, as well as their relationship. I really enjoyed the way Carl describes his feelings when he is with Mike and just what it feels like to be in his arms. It shows us that you can find love in the last place that you look, even if you are not looking.
Mike Shane’s an old fashioned kind of cop. To his mind, police work should be all about pounding the pavements, interrogating suspects and following leads. It should not involve hours spent sitting at a desk staring at a computer screen. When he’s seconded to a computer crimes task force, he’s dreading spending all his time surrounded by computers and computer geeks.
Carl Rawlings is no geek. With a body full of tattoos and piercings, along with a new found interest in anything and everything kinky, he’s not your average cop—or your average computer expert either. Immediately drawn to the other man’s old school style of dominance, he quickly decides that teaching Mike all about the new program he’s developed won’t be so bad after all, but who knows what Mike may teach him in return?
