Barbara Yager ended up with a wonderful guy and an adorable adopted daughter but in order to complete her happily ever after the Queen has demanded that they complete three impossible tasks in this delightful fairy tale novella.
With a fairy tale’s flair, this story grabs reader’s attention and draws them into the well written, fast paced and smooth flowing plot where Barbara, Liam and Babs set out to complete the intriguing and exciting task that the Queen has put before them. The reader is captivated by the strong compelling characters and the otherworldly and magical feel of the story with the cheerfulness and dedication of Barbara and Liam’s love adding a cheerful feel to the story.
The story is a delightful and quick read that is a perfect addition to the Baba Yaga series and I was completely charmed by the fairy tale type plot but I do have to tell you that I do wish it had been longer because the idea behind the plot could have played in so many fascinating ways.
Known as the wicked witch of Russian fairy tales, Baba Yaga is not one woman, but rather a title carried by a chosen few. They keep the balance of nature and guard the borders of our world, but don’t make the mistake of crossing one…
Having triumphed over a powerful enemy and ended up with both a wonderful guy—Sheriff Liam McClellan—and an adorable adopted daughter to raise as a Baba Yaga, Barbara Yager is ready to welcome her happily ever after.
But first she must bring Liam to the Otherworld and get the Queen’s permission to marry him. The Queen, however, is not so easily persuaded. She gives them three impossible tasks to complete in two weeks’ time—and if they fail Barbara will have to watch Liam slowly age and die like all humans, and kiss her happily ever after good-bye forever.
