Hell's Chapel

Caith Morningstar, #1

Orlando –land of that famous mouse – is Caith Morningstar’s home and she has a few rules that everyone needs to follow or they can get the heck out but either someone didn’t get that memo or they have a death wish in this thrilling urban fantasy.

Although it’s obvious that Caith can handle the blood, gore and frustration as she protects her city, the readers can’t help but get caught up in the excitement as Caith tries to deal with the pain of loving the angel Samkiel. Lots of sizzling chemistry and romance flows throughout the story adding spice with a bit of a frustrating relationship as Samkiel has no intention of falling which keeps emotions running high. The characters are strong and charismatic with Caith being a force to be reckoned with as she demands that readers follow her rules as well as her story in this fast paced, smooth flowing plot full of suspense, excitement and romance.

There is never a dull moment to be found in this story as it even starts off with a ‘knock heads together’ event and excitement continues to build throughout with increasing intensity that keeps readers on the edge of their seat as Caith becomes the target for someone that has a serious death wish. The scenes are well written with lots of vivid detailing that makes it easy for the reader to become engrossed in the story as the intriguing events keep them glued to the pages.

The series is full of interesting elements and quirky, vibrant characters with attitude that provides some chuckles to the story in a fascinating world that promises to be most entertaining that the mouse’s house has ever been. I was certainly drawn to Caith and her story and it had quite a few surprises that kept me guessing and kept changing the playing field up so that there was no way that I could put the story down and I can’t wait to visit Hell’s Chapel again to find out what happens next.

Book Blurb for Hell's Chapel

She’s Caith Morningstar: bar owner, leather wearer, shoe worshipper, werewolf, Orlando’s resident ass kicker and… Satan’s niece.

In the tween—between On High and Hell—Caith has three rules: order, secrecy, and if you can’t manage that at least have a little discretion. Wait, make that four: no one screws with Caith or her stuff. Orlando—land of that famous mouse—is her home and people are either gonna get in line or get the fuc- heck out.

Except someone didn’t get that memo. Or, they have a death wish. Either way, she’s gonna bust out her bat and smash some heads. She’s got zombies demolishing her home, vamps chasing her, and on top of the normal violence in her life, she’s quickly falling for an angel. Satan’s niece and a goody-two-shoes angel! And don’t even get her started on corralling her five fathers while trying to keep them from interfering with her life.

Caith can handle the blood, gore, and frustration, but can she deal with the pain of loving the angel Samkiel? Probably not, but she’s gonna try anyway.

Warning: Life is full of bullshit and badasses--at the same time in Caith's case--and sometimes the bullshit isn't solved in one book. When it comes to Caith and Sam... they definitely need more than one book.
