Whisper Hollow, #1

Kerris Fellwater’s responsibility is to drive the dead back to their graves but upon her return to Whisper Hollow she finds that she must work with the dead rather than against them before the enemy destroys the town in this sensational paranormal romance.

She ran long ago, but with the death of her grandparents, Kerris has been called home where people and secrets don’t always stay buried and the reader can’t help but become intrigued by the suspense that builds from the very first page. Chilling thrills build lots of tension throughout the story as Kerris begins to unravel her mother’s death and makes several startling discovers that rocks her world, has danger looming over her and with the enemy drawing closer, she’s not sure that she can trust all of her allies either. Unexpected twists keeps everyone on their toes while the well written scenes and details bring this ghostly series to life with spine tingling clarity and the well-orchestrated events guarantee that the reader can’t put the book down.

While there is not a lot of action in this book, that doesn’t make it any less exciting with the suspense pulling readers in as the mysterious town and strong compelling characters capture the imagination. The plot has a steady to fast pace and flows smoothly continuously drawing the reader deeper into the story and when Kerris meets a sexy wolf shifter the chemistry leaps off the pages with vivid heat and let me just give a small warning, Bryan is hot enough to make you swoon.

Once again, Yasmine Galenorn has created a fascinating world with unique and different elements and wonderful characters that just open up worlds of possibilities that I just can’t resist, so I can’t wait to visit Whisper Hollow again.

Book Blurb for Autumn Thorns

In an all-new series, New York Times bestselling author Yasmine Galenorn invites readers to Whisper Hollow, where spirits walk among the living and the lake never gives up her dead…

Fifteen years ago, I ran away from Whisper Hollow, Washington, a small town on Crescent Lake in the Olympic Peninsula. But truth is, if you were born here, you can never really leave. I’m Kerris Fellwater, and when I returned, I inherited my grandmother’s house—and her gift. As a spirit shaman, it’s my responsibility to drive the dead back to their graves, because around Whisper Hollow, people—and secrets—don’t always stay buried.

When I was little, I was told my mother ran off. But now it looks like she was murdered. With the help of my mysterious neighbor Bryan, we begin to unravel the mystery of her disappearance, and in doing so, unearth a dark force seeking to bury Whisper Hollow. Now I must work with the dead, rather than against them, because our enemy will do whatever she can to destroy the town, and she means to start with me.
