The Purifying Fire

Magic the Gathering: A Planeswalker Novel

Laura Resnick really made me feel the characters in this book. I was mad at them, while feeling their pain. The main character, Chandra was a real mess. Her anger ran unchecked throughout most of the book, which caused her much trouble. Being a Fire Mage is what made it hard for her to control her anger. Laura illustrated this perfectly, but some of Chandra's actions were very confusing. The book itself was well written, but the characters too often acted against their own preservation. All in all, this book is a great read. I would recommend it to anyone that enjoys Sci-Fi.
