The Idiot's Guide to Making Natural Beauty Products is a well organized, clear and easy follow book. First-timers will find a wealth of information from types of oils to herbs and their use. Some of the products are very easy to make and use simple ingredients that can be found easily. There are other products that require specialized ingredients and processes. Facial creams, lotions and mineral make-up are but a few of the chapters within this book. There's even recipes for making your own nail polishes. I can't wait to try those. The directions are clear and the author repeatedly stresses the need for safety and cleanliness. I've been making goat milk soap for years but have wanted to branch out to other natural products. I love the choices for lotions and moisturizers that the author presents. There's a source guide in back of the book for those hard to find ingredients. I thoroughly enjoyed just reading this book. I just finished making Sugar Scrub Shower Cubes and I love them. Guess what my friends are getting for Christmas! Great Book.
