"His Lordship's Wild Highland Bride" is a true adventure in every sense of the word. It is hilarious at times and always exciting. You can't help but feel for both Lainie and Ridley. The chemistry is there but it doesn't overwhelm the 'courtship'. And that's what taking place between the two, even if they're already married. Secondary characters are interspersed throughout and they are just as interesting as our couple. The backdrop of the murder charge makes for suspenseful reading. Humor and witty dialogue set this story apart from other Scottish romances. It's part of a series but can read and enjoyed as a stand alone. I haven't read the other books but intend to right away. This is a charming story. I also have a new author to add to my TBR list. Truly an enjoyable read!
