Cyborgs: More Than Machines

Chloe needed the money. That's why she was in a top secret bunker trying to get blood and other fluid samples from the captive cyborg. She did have to admit that the cyborg was nothing like the monster the military proclaimed the escaped machines to be. X109GI or Joe, as he preferred, was intrigued by the little human assigned to collect his samples. When the time came to escape, he knew that Chloe would be going with him. Joe knows he feels lust for his human but other less familiar feelings are plaguing him too. The military that created the cyborgs isn't done with them either; and the secret behind the call name C791 will shake the very foundation of Joe and Chloe's world as well as that of the other cyborgs as well.

Cyborg stories abound these days and I will say that the first part of this one seemed to follow a familiar pattern; but that soon changes. There's a shocking twist in this book that transforms an ok read into an intriguing one and takes the story to whole new level. Chloe and Joe are nicely fleshed out and I felt like I really knew them. Their chemistry is great and their sex scenes are very hot. The background story provides not only a good backdrop for this book but also lays the foundation for future ones. Fast-paced action, evil plots, 'definition of life' debates and a sensual love story combine to make a fascinating read. If you're looking for something a little different and very erotic; give this one a try. I can't wait for the next.

Book Blurb for C791

Machines aren’t supposed to feel, but this cyborg can’t help falling in love.

Assigned as a specimen collector for a captured cyborg, Chloe is intrigued by the machine disguised as a man. Kidnapped during his daring escape, he shows her that despite the chip in his brain, his humanity is not completely lost.

Formerly known as unit X109GI, Joe is on a quest to discover his origin. While he doesn’t find the answers he’s looking for, he does discover that affection and lust aren’t just for humans. But when it comes to a battle between logic and love, which side will the cybernetic organism—once a man—choose?

Evaluating his feelings will have to wait though because the military isn’t done with Joe. But their threats against him pale in comparison before the shocking discovery of project C791, the revelation of which stuns the rebel cyborgs—and ignites a fury for vengeance.

It takes the touch of the right woman to remind this cyborg of his humanity.

Go Metal!
