Bad Mouth

Angela McCallister has managed to find a fresh take on vampires and breathe new life into the vampire romance genre. I loved this book. Kade is crude, rude and totally hot. He's a bad ass with heart, well sort of. Val has the courage and the spirit needed to bring balance to his world. The passion is searing from the start, even as they both go into deep denial. The plot is complex but so engaging that it's easy to get wrapped up in all the politics, culture and quirks of this fascinating world. This is a different kind of love story and don't look for 'sparkly' vampires because they're not in this book. But there is raw and visceral power here as well as betrayal and sacrifice. Kade has some truly interesting friends and I so hope that the author will be giving them stories too. Highly recommended new author!

Val was working towards making all vampire transformations illegal. She is also working with Vampire Liaison Office to stop a rash of bloody murders. She needs the help of Kade Rollins, the most crude, foul mouthed and violent vampire she's ever met. But there much more going on than either knows and that includes a strong, seductive attraction to each other.
