Bad Cop

I can't remember the last time I enjoyed a series so much. Bad Cop is the next installment in the Immortalis series. The storyline is suspenseful, the characters are exciting and the sex is very hot. But that's not what makes this a great read. It's the writing style of Ms. McCallister that elevates the story. This book is just plain old fun. Ian and Alice have great chemistry but their inner dialogue will make you laugh out loud. I read everyday and enjoy most of my choices, but every once in while I'll find something really special. Bad Cop is great entertainment as well as a great read. The two don't always go together.

I love Alice and really connected with her. She has had it tough but she keeps on going. Ian is snarky, mysterious and harder to get to know. As the murder case unfolds so does the the relationship between Alice and Ian. It's gritty, sassy and so very sexy. This is not your average romance, more like an unavoidable collision.

Secondary characters are fleshed out and it's their banter that often showcases the authors talent. I loved this book and can't wait for the next. Do start with first book to really appreciate the nuances of this fascinating world.

Alice hates cops. She believes they follow their own rules to get what they want. Enter Ian. He's a Tracker (vampire cop). Alice hasn't been in her new job for a day when she is forced to work with Ian. The attraction is intense and when the current murder case has ties to one that still haunts Ian, emotions boil over. The closer the two get to the truth, the more danger Alice is in. Ian may have to make a devastating choice.

Book Blurb for Bad Cop

~A hot, Irish vampire cop forced to work with a cop-jaded woman who appeals to his deepest needs. A murder case that will put his honor to the test, risk his life and threaten his one shot at a new future~

A woman jaded against dirty cops...To Alice, Ian is just another bad cop as detestable as the one who destroyed her family. Regardless of her attraction to the charming man, she has no respect for the way the vampire threatens his way into her agency’s murder case and no trust in him when it’s obvious he’s hiding something.

A cop who tosses the rule books to get his way…Ian doesn't care for Alice’s judgmental opinions on the way he goes about obtaining justice. They are polar opposites, and her humanity makes her off-limits, but that does nothing to weaken his overwhelming desire for her.

A truth that could tear their new love to shreds…When the new case raises the ghosts of an old case Ian believed long dead and buried, his law-bending ways and the secret that haunts him could end with his execution. The second Alice becomes a target, his heart that he’d thought murdered along with his maker flares into blinding existence. But following the law for her sake could end with a devastating repeat of his past.
