Ants on a Log is an incredibly sweet children’s book that sneaks in a little message alongside the story. Jack the rabbit dislikes all vegetables his mother makes for him: pink cauliflower, purple cabbage, and even carrots. What bunny doesn’t like carrots? Jack doesn’t. His mother is exhausted trying to find something Jack would like and eat. She tries bribery, punishment, and camouflaging the veggies. Then one day Jack heads to school and finds something that opens up his taste buds to vegetables, ants on a log.
With so many children that are picky eaters, this cute children’s story will delight children with illustrations of little bunnies that they can relate to. At the same time, it teaches parents that there is something out there that their child will eat, as long as a little creativity is involved. It’s a wonderful addition to any child or family’s library.
