This enjoyable romantic suspense tale is a great look at the machinations involved in the legal world and also provides a heartbreaking perspective on the difficulty of proving one’s innocence. The author does a wonderful job of presenting compelling characters who each are convinced of their version of the truth and the somewhat frightening journey to the answer as complicated by the infamous ‘blue wall’ provides an entertaining escalation of tension. I love the contrast between Emma and Penny and sincerely hope that Penny gets her own story as well because I love her larger than life personality. This is an entertaining and intriguing light read.
