Roping your Heart

Riding Tall

This contemporary romance was wonderfully textured and a nice combination of sensuality and an enthralling plot. There are wonderful asides, including a horse-mad daughter experiencing her own growing pains and an escape-artist hamster, which help balance some of the weightier elements which make one prone to keep a tissue handy. Realistic issues that are faced by many families today make this a relevant read even as the author’s trademark spice reminds us why she is so beloved by her fans. Cameos by a few of the people introduced in the first title of the series give a connection yet this story can definitely be read as a stand-alone. A poignant and enjoyable read.
