Purr-fect Love

This primarily contemporary romance story has the entertaining addition of a paranormal twist as the heroine deals with an all too pushy feline. The story is relatively predictable but nicely told and makes an entertaining quick read.

Purr-fect Love is a short paranormal novella about a man dealing with a curse who has spent the majority of the past several centuries condemned to live in the form of a cat except for one month out of the year. Mahri Lassler has decided to adopt a kitten when her attention is snagged (literally) by an insistent adult cat. Morgan has long despaired of ever finding a way to break the curse upon him but somehow is drawn to the lonely Mahri, the one woman who has made him consider remaining with her even after he regains his form for the brief respite that reminds him of all that he has lost. The question is whether he will be enough of a companion to protect her from the dangers in her life.

Book Blurb for Purr-fect Love

With time running out, there’s no pussyfooting around…

After her fiancé’s last betrayal, Mahri Lassler decides she’d rather become a crazy cat lady than live with another man. Yet when her sister drags her to the animal shelter to make that dream a reality, Mahri just isn’t ready to commit. Not even to a litter of cuddly kittens. But when an odd black and white tomcat reaches through the bars, it’s almost as if he’s choosing her…

Cursed by a scorned lover for all eternity, Scottish clansman Morgan Felix resigns himself to living eleven months each year as a cat. Now, nearly a millennium later, he’s trapped in a cage at the animal shelter with no hope in sight. He has to escape before the first day of spring, when he’ll change back into his human form and find himself in a very tight squeeze. So when the pixie-like woman stops just outside the cage, he takes the situation into his own paws and reaches out to touch her hand…
